Clone Manager Basic 8 Update

If you are using Clone Manager Basic version 8, you can download a software patch that will update your program to the latest version (ver 8.04). This update makes a number of small corrections and additions, and prepares the program to work under Microsoft's new operating system, Vista. You can also download an updated version of the program's compiled HTML Help.

Update Description

In the Restriction Map display, the enzyme list selection combo now has the ability to scroll, helpful if you have generated a large number of user-defined enzyme lists. Clone Manager now uses the color defined by your Windows settings for default text and map drawing (usually black unless you have changed this setting), making it easier to select high-contrast display settings, if needed. Several errors were also corrected relating to the display of features or sites that go over the top of the molecule in some formatted sequence view modes.

Many computers running the Windows Vista operating system will have ClearType enabled by default. ClearType is a technology used by Microsoft to display computer fonts so that they appear clear and smooth, making on-screen text easier to read. Clone Manager has modified text and map drawing routines to improve text appearance when used with ClearType technology.
